Selling on maazbuk.shop
When you publish a shop, you sell to the public. These terms set out what you are responsible for, what we are responsible for, and how payments work.

What these terms cover
These terms apply when you publish a shop on maazbuk.shop, on the Business plan and up or during the trial. They add to the terms of service; where the two differ about the shop, these win.
You are the seller
Every sale in your shop is a sale between you and your buyer. You set the prices, describe the goods, decide what you stock, and fulfil the order. Maaz Buk provides the software the shop runs on. We are not a party to the sale, and we do not buy or resell anything.
- What you list has to be accurate: the description, the price, what is in stock, and what the buyer will get.
- You have to be allowed to sell it, and it has to be legal to sell in Nigeria.
- You honour the price shown when the buyer paid.
Getting paid
Buyers pay online through Paystack when they order. To publish a shop you need a verified Paystack payout account in your business’s name, and the money goes into that account under Paystack’s own terms, which you agree to with Paystack.
Paystack’s fees apply to each payment. Maaz Buk takes no percentage of your sales. If your payout account stops working, your shop stays visible but stops taking orders until it is fixed.
Orders
An order counts once it has been paid. Unpaid orders expire and are not sales. A paid order is recorded in your account as a sale to the buyer, and the stock is taken from the batch that expires first.
Keep the status of each order up to date, from pending through packed to shipped and delivered, or picked up, so your buyer can see where it is.
Delivery and pickup
You choose the areas you deliver to and the fee for each, and whether buyers can collect instead. You arrange the delivery, and you are responsible for the goods until they reach the buyer or the buyer collects them. Maaz Buk does not transport anything.
Refunds, returns and disputes
Refunds, returns and complaints about an order are between you and your buyer. Set out your returns policy in your shop, and deal with requests promptly and fairly, as Nigerian consumer protection law requires.
If a buyer disputes a payment with their bank or with Paystack, that is handled between you, the buyer and Paystack, and any chargeback or dispute fee falls on you. We will pass on anything we receive about it.
What your shop has to show buyers
- your business name and a way to reach you, such as a phone number, WhatsApp or email;
- where you deliver, what it costs, and roughly how long it takes;
- your returns and refunds policy;
- accurate descriptions and prices, in naira.
Your buyers’ data
The details your buyers give at checkout are yours to control, and we process them on your behalf, as set out in the terms of service. Use them for the order and for looking after that customer. Do not add buyers to marketing messages unless they have agreed to receive them.
Taking a shop down
We may remove a product listing or suspend a shop if it breaks these terms or the acceptable use policy, if we receive credible reports of fraud, or if Paystack stops your account. Except where we have to act immediately, we will tell you first and give you the chance to put it right. While a shop is suspended, buyers see that it is not taking orders.
When the shop closes
Your shop closes if you unpublish it, if your plan no longer includes it, or if your account ends. Orders already paid for still have to be fulfilled or refunded by you.
