When you buy from a shop on maazbuk.shop
Each shop on maazbuk.shop belongs to a business that uses Maaz Buk to run it. This notice explains what happens to your details when you order, and who to ask about them.

Who is responsible for your details
The business whose shop you are buying from. It decides what it does with your details, and it answers to you for them. Maaz Buk runs the shop software on its behalf. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, the business is the controller and we are its processor.
What is collected when you order
You give
Your name and email address, and if you choose to, your phone number, your WhatsApp number and a delivery address.
From your order
What you ordered, the price, how it is being delivered or collected, and where the order has got to.
If you sign in
Your email address, to send you a sign-in link and show your past orders.
Paying
You pay through Paystack, which collects your card or bank details directly. Neither the business nor Maaz Buk sees your full card number.
What it is used for
To take your payment, prepare and deliver your order, send you receipts and updates about it, and keep the business’s records. The business may use it to contact you about your order. Your details are not sold, and they are not used for advertising.
Who else sees it
The business and the staff it gives access to, and Paystack, to take the payment. Maaz Buk uses these services to run the shop: Cloudflare to deliver the pages, Fly.io to host the data in London, United Kingdom, Tigris for product photos, and Resend to send emails. No one else sees it.
What is kept on your device
The shop remembers your cart, your recent orders and, if you sign in, your sign-in, in your browser, so they are still there when you come back. It runs no analytics, advertising or tracking scripts.
How long it is kept
Your name, contact details and delivery address are cleared from the order itself 90 days after you pay, or after an unpaid order lapses. A paid order also becomes a sale in the business’s own records, and the business keeps that, with your details, for as long as it needs to.
Your rights
You can ask to see the details held about you, to correct them or to have them deleted. Ask the business first, through the contact details in its shop. If you cannot reach it, write to privacy@maazbuk.com and we will pass your request on and help it answer.
If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
