What Maaz Buk worked out

Bisola owes you₦41,500

Due 28 Sep · 12 days of credit left

Cost to you₦58,200
You made₦23,300

Stock moved from the batch that expires first.

You record the sale. Maaz Buk works out the rest.

The order is in the chat. The money is in your head.

Most small businesses keep their records in three places, and the three never agree.

WhatsApp

The order is agreed in the chat, and that is the only record of it.

“Send 2 crates.”

“I go pay Friday.”

“How much be the balance?”

A notebook

Pages go missing, and the totals rarely add up.

Your head

Efe still owes. Musa paid half. Was that price right? Sooner or later one slips.

That is where money leaks: debts nobody chased, stock that expired, and goods sold for less than they cost.

How it works

You record the sale. The rest updates itself.

Enter the sale once. Maaz Buk updates the rest. Watch it step by step.

1Sell

Pick the customer and the goods, then say how they paid: cash, credit, or part now and the rest later. It takes about fifteen seconds on a phone. If the screen hangs and you tap twice, it is still recorded once.

2Stock

The goods come off your stock by themselves, from the batch that expires soonest. You don't have to pick it. That is the batch that would turn into a loss if it sat on the shelf.

3Money

Anything sold on credit puts the customer on your list of who owes you, with the date it is due and how much of their limit is left. A sale that would take them over the limit is stopped before it is made.

4Profit

What you sold it for, less what the goods cost you to get in, including freight and duty. Add the month's expenses and you have your profit for the month, built up one sale at a time.
